Dewey 24-Hour Readathon-Starting Line Hours 1-4

image
I decided to get my tasks—you know those boring weekend tasks-over with early so I can focus on reading most of the day

First of all. my intro questionaire:
1)Where are you reading from today? Staten Island, NY
2)Three random facts about me… I bake cupcakes—many kinds and want to open a bakery, I LOVE Olympic curling, and I still love Lisa Frank products.
3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? 10,000—I’ll explain. I swear I’m not insane.
4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? Get some books off of my TBR.
5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time? Caffeine, lots of it and, of course, hydration.

I am going things differently this year. I am randomizing things because I start out every year with these grandiose plans and fail every year. Here is my system:
Numbers-
  1. Review Copy
  2. E-book
  3. Romance
  4. YA
This time I landed on 3.

Then I decided to go to my database on my iPad and shake the hell out of it while it’s on that scrolly book cover display thing and read whatever the thing lands on. This time it landed on:

  6. @Kim (Sophisticated Dorkiness)

I may end up being prone to multiple shakings of the shaken iPad. Until I get something I like at least.
