Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene...

I am going to go old school with this one. I was recently rereading Anne of Green Gables and I got to the part where (spoiler) Matthew dies...and I become completely emotionally unstable. Weeping. Hysterical. This happens every year when I reread the book. Worst part is my mother came across me while I was in the middle of my fit and asks me "Oh, did Matthew die again?" You would think I would prepare myself. And I am not generally a weepy type of person. This is the only book that gets this reaction from me.

  1. Death scenes get me everytime.

    Happy Holidays!

  2. I LOVE Anne of Green Gables. SOOO much of that story made me cry, but the part when Matthew died was definitely one of the worst. Great pick! :D Old follower. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D

  4. I have a confession to make. I haven't actually read Anne of Green Gables. Isn't that sad considering how well known it is.

  13. Death scenes are hard to read but I couldn't help laughing when I read your mom's comment :) If I was reading it and someone said that to me, I would probably be in a fit of crying/laughing. It would be pretty hard to distinguish between the two :) I hate to say I've never read Anne of Green Gables but I'm definitely going to have to read it!

Happy reading :) Megan @ Megz Madd Readz
