Intro: I am finally back to normal. Internet is good. Health is good. I am still playing catch up with everything but at least my week from Hades is over.
Heroine: Katie: I liked her. I really did. But I was sort of stuck in the middle of really empathizing with her and being completely frustrated with her. I was also caught in between wanting her to let go of the past and wanting her to really get her revenge on Liam. I usually make my judgments about where I stand with a character’s motivations but I couldn’t with Katie.
Hero: Liam-I really felt for him. He so wanted to make it better with Katie but she was holding onto the past like a lifeline. I loved him. He learned from his past mistakes and wanted to make it right which is something I really appreciate.
Chemistry: I loved the angst with these two. I really did. But I found myself a bit frustrated with Katie. I wanted her to let go of the past and move on. I loved their journey together and really adored them as a couple.
Conclusion: I really enjoyed this one. I loved that, despite my frustrations with the heroine, I never lost interest in the story. I actually think that my issues with Katie might have enhanced my interest in the book because I was only frustrated with her because I wanted good things for her and holding onto the past is never a good thing. I will restrain myself from singing a couple verses of “Let it go.”
