Intro: Sophie Barnes has been one of my favorite authors for a while. I always look forward to her books. They are the perfect lighthearted romances that give me a nice break from the angsty romances I usually read. Lady Sarah’s Sinful Desires was no different.
Heroine: Sarah-Sarah was one of the most resilient and strong heroines I have come across in a long time. She made a mistake in her youth and was constantly made to pay for it by her family and by her own guilt. I loved how she didn’t let it make her weak or angry.
Hero: Christopher-I liked Christopher but this was one of the rare instances where I loved the heroine far more than the hero. I did like him though. I love that he didn’t really judge Sarah for her past. He was kind and sweet and just the perfect sort of smooshy hero.
Chemistry: I loved them both together. Sarah carries so much guilt about her past and I love how that and the fact that she had this huge secret played out. They were so sweet and perfect. I found them refreshing.
Conclusion: I loved this book. To bits and pieces. I did not stop reading once I started it. It was a sweet sort of romance with engaging characters and a juicy plot. I think this may be my favorite Sophie Barnes book so far.
Born in Denmark, Sophie Barnes spent her youth traveling with her parents to wonderful places all around the world. She's lived in five different countries, on three different continents, and speaks Danish, English, French, Spanish and Romanian. She has studied design in Paris and New York and has a bachelor's degree from Parsons. But, most impressive of all, she's been married to the same man three times—in three different countries and in three different dresses.
While living in Africa, Sophie turned to her lifelong passion: writing. When she's not busy dreaming up her next romance novel, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, cooking, gardening, watching romantic comedies and, of course, reading. She currently lives on the East Coast.
